This limited edition from samurai is available exclusively outside of Japan. Crafted from the brand's iconic 15oz "Otokogi Denim," this masterpiece pays homage to the legendary Japanese swordsman Minamoto no Yoshitsune, also known as "Ushiwakamaru" (牛若丸).

Minamoto no Yoshitsune, once known as Ushiwakamaru (牛若丸) in his childhood, was a renowned figure in Japanese history. His exploits, including the iconic duel with the legendary warrior monk Benkei at the Gojo Bridge, have inspired generations. Benkei later became Yoshitsune's loyal retainer, standing by his side until their tragic end at the Siege of Koromogawa.

This exclusive denim is rich in symbolic details, echoing the spirit of this legendary tale. The silver lamé selvedge ID mirrors the "Katana Ha" (the cutting edge of a Samurai's sword), while the special edition natural cowhide leather patch adds a touch of authenticity. Further embellishments include the iron-made rising sun buttons and the "syogyomujo" (諸行無常) jacquard pocket lining and back rivets. "Syogyomujo," a Japanese concept denoting the impermanence of all things, reflects the evolving nature of denim over time.

Crafted from 100% Texas cotton, the Otokogi fabric boasts a distinctive texture owing to its high proportion of short fibers. Unlike conventional practices of removing short fibers for smoother fabric, Samurai enhances the yarn with additional short fibers, resulting in a uniquely slubby weave. With maximum weave tension, the denim stiffens and tightens after washing, developing unparalleled fading characteristics known as "atari."

The modern slim tapered fit offers a sleek silhouette with an aggressive taper for a snug fit around the legs, while maintaining ample room at the thighs and a mid-high rise for comfort and style.
